TBIS and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZSTU) Sign Strategic Agreement for Journal Collaboration.

On December 26th, the Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Society (TBIS) and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University (ZSTU) signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Conference Room 215, Administration Building, Xia-Sha Campus of ZSTU. This marks a significant step in advancing academic publishing and fostering collaboration in textile and bioengineering.

 

 

Li Yi, President of TBIS and Chair Professor at the University of Manchester, UK, and Yao Ju-Ming, Vice President of ZSTU,  formally signed the agreement. The signing ceremony was witnessed by distinguished leaders and experts, including:

· Mr. Wang Mai Li: Chief Secretary of TBIS

· Mr. Yu Bin: Dean of the School of Textile Science and Engineering

· Mr. Zhang Xian-Ming: Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering

· Mr. Liu Zheng: Dean of the School of Fashion Design Marangoni

· Mr. Zhu Yao-Feng: Member of the Party Group, Zhejiang Modern Textile Technology Innovation Centre

· Mr. Xiang Zhong: Professor, School of Mechanical Engineering

· Mr. Gu Bing-Fei: Member of the Party Committee, School of Clothing

 

Li Qi-Zheng, Vice President and Secretary General of the Zhejiang Textile Engineering Society, President of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University Magazine, and Secretary General of the TBIS 2025 Conference, presided over the event.

 

 

Significance of the Agreement

The partnership focuses on enhancing journal management and academic publishing. TBIS’s flagship journal, the Journal of Fiber Bioengineering and Informatics (JFBI), is a leading interdisciplinary platform for academic and technical exchange. ZSTU, with its established reputation and expertise in publishing high-quality academic resources, hosts influential journals such as Silk, Modern Textile Technology, and the China Silk Yearbook.

 

This collaboration will involve:

· Manuscript support

· Inclusion in domestic and international databases

· Publicity and promotion initiatives

· Joint academic conferences and publishing ventures

· Applications for government and enterprise project support

Advancing Academic Excellence

This strategic partnership is expected to elevate the academic level and influence of journals managed by both organisations. It will strengthen cooperation and exchanges in academic research, providing new platforms and opportunities for knowledge dissemination in textile bioengineering and informatics.

 

 

Additional Highlights

During the same period, the second preparatory meeting for the upcoming TBIS 2025 conference was also convened, reflecting the ongoing collaborative spirit between TBIS and ZSTU.
