Call for Editors JFBI & ATT

Joint Editorial Board Recruitment for Dual Journals

To promote academic exchange and knowledge dissemination in the fields of textile bioengineering and informatics, and to build an international journal platform, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and the Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Society (UK) have agreed to co-publish Advanced Textile Technology and the Journal of Fiber Bioengineering and Informatics (JFBI). A Dual Editorialship Model is being launched. We sincerely invite outstanding scholars and experts from around the world in related fields to join the joint editorial board and serve concurrently as editorial board members, youth editorial members, or academic editors for both journals.

01 About the Journals

Founded in 1985, Advanced Textile Technology is co-sponsored by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and Zhejiang Textile Engineering Society. As one of the authoritative core journals in the field of textile in China, it has been changed into a monthly journal in the beginning of 2024. Currently, it has been successively included in “A Guide to the Core Journals (Peking University Core Journals)”, “The Key Magazine of China Technology”, “Classification Catalogue of High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journals in the Textile Field (T2), etc. and has been awarded “Excellent Scientific and Technological Journals of Chinese Universities” for successive years. The journal has been included in the Web Journal with Impact Factor (WJCI) Report and the Classification Catalogue of High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journals in the Textile Field. It is also indexed in major databases such as Scopus, EBSCO, and Chemical Abstracts (CA).

The Journal of Fiber Bioengineering and Informatics (JFBI) is sponsored by the Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Society (TBIS), UK, and published by Global Science Press. Electronic ISSN: 2617-8699 | Print ISSN: 1940-8676, currently published quarterly, the journal is indexed in Scopus, Google Scholar, and other databases.

JFBI is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary research across fiber science, textile engineering, apparel technology, and bio- and information engineering. Its mission is to support authors in generating impactful academic research, industrial applications, and societal contributions, thereby advancing cross-disciplinary knowledge and scientific exploration.

02 Call for Joint Editorial Board Members

01 Eligibility

There is no age limit for editorial board members. Applicants should be engaged in research related to textiles, apparel, bioinformatics, or related disciplines, and hold a doctoral degree or senior professional title. Youth Editorial Board Members should be under 45 years old (born after December 31, 1979).
In the past three years, applicants should have published at least five papers as the first author or corresponding author in key domestic or international journals indexed by SCI, EI, or SSCI in textile-related fields.
Priority will be given to those who have led national or provincial-level projects or achieved significant research accomplishments.
Editorial board members will be selected through recommendations or self-nominations and appointed by the Editorial Committee following a review.

02 Rights

Participate in the annual meeting of the Joint Editorial Board, receive reports on editorial work, and provide advice and feedback on the development of the journals and the industry.
Have priority to attend various industry events, project reviews, academic seminars, specialized training sessions, and international exchanges organized or initiated by the Editorial Office, the Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Society, and the Zhejiang Textile Engineering Society.
Propose suggestions on journal sections and editorial publishing, with priority to lead or participate in special column planning.
Enjoy priority in the peer review and publication of manuscripts where they are the first author or invited contributions.
Have their names prominently displayed in the journals and on the official websites, and receive official certificates as Joint Editorial Board Members or Youth Editorial Board Members.

03 Responsibilities

Actively contribute to the journal by submitting manuscripts, reviewing submissions, or recommending high-quality papers.
Actively participate in editorial board meetings and various academic activities organized by the journal.
Promote the journal in various settings to help enhance its academic quality and expand its influence.
Assist with editorial tasks, participate in the review of special manuscripts, and address professional inquiries from readers.

04 Selection Process

Initial screening of applications (July) → Selection → Notification by email → Appointment letters issued (August).

《现代纺织技术》创刊于1985年，由浙江理工大学和浙江省纺织工程学会共同主办，以“现代纺织”为特色。2024年变更为月刊，是全国纺织领域具有权威性的双核心期刊之一。目前是“全国中文核心期刊（北大核心）”、“中国科技核心期刊”和“RCCSE中国核心学术期刊”，曾多次被评为“中国高校优秀科技期刊”，在2023年版北大核心期刊评价中“综合隶属度”同领域排名第3。目前，期刊入选《科技期刊世界影响力指数（WJCI）报告》、纺织领域高质量科技期刊分级目录（T2），被EBSCO和美国《化学文摘》（CA）等重要数据库收录。
