Professor Henry Yi Li is Chair Professor of Textile Science and Engineering in the Department of Materials, School of Natural Sciences at the University of Manchester. His research focuses on textile engineering, functional materials, and the digitisation of textile products. He has been actively involved in international standardisation activities related to Digital Product Passports and sustainable product data frameworks, including participation in UK and international technical committees under BSI, CEN, ISO, and IEC supporting the implementation of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). He also contributes to international collaboration on textile Digital Product Passport standards through initiatives such as the Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Society International Group Standards (TBIS-IGS).
